Riding a bike in May
Riding a bike in May
Paulina from Class 3c has sent us a nice photo. The poem is of a German girl. Read it and translate it.A bike is just a bike

A bike is just a bike
It can take you for a riding hikeA bike is just a bike
With a motorcycle it is a look alikeA bike is just a bike
When you ride it you feel childlike

But there is something I dislike
It is hard to impress and make a good strike
Two wheels and one seat available for hitchhike
Your charming words will have a declined spike
Therefore it is best to leave the bike for the dikes

Spring, Almost

The sunshine gleams so bright and warm,
The sky is blue and clear.
I run outdoors without a coat,
And spring is almost here.
Then before I know it,
Small clouds have blown together,
Till the sun just can’t get through them,
And again, it’s mitten weather.

Hi! I’m Tom. As we wrote it earlier the 3rd of May is an important date in Poland. At our school we had a kind of artistic performance. The students recited poetry about Polish historical events

Near Zabor, there is a city Zielona Gora. There is a University of Zielona Góra there and students celebrate “being a student” every year in May.  It is connected  with lots of concerts, festivals, parades, shows, dancing, meeiting each other. Students are in the centre of everything.

Violet lilacs and a bee taken by Angelica
Violet lilacs and a bee taken by Angelica

Hi! I’m Angelica. I love poetry.

Just read this poem.It’s sweet.

WHEN RING THE BELLS
Lightly fall the Rains
On Heads bowed down in Grace,
And now the Summer Sun
Dries each upturned Face.

The Distant Bells are sparkling
And sweeten Lilac air;
Bright Rainbows flowing with the Wind-
The Congregation stares.

Daisies, Bluebells, joined in Prayer
One Summer’s windswept Day,
Knowing God and all his Blessings,
While with the Wind they Sway.
