My town

Posted on: January 21, 2009

Hello children!!

How are you? I want to tell you about my town. It is called Paralia. “Paralia” means “beach” in Greek and my town is called so because it is on the beach. It is not in the city of Patra but it is very close.

We haven’t got a lot of shops in our town but we have all we need. So, there are two kiosks, a supermarket, a mini market, two pharmacies, two english private schools. There is also a hairdresser’s.

There aren’t any historical attractions but there are two courts, one for football and one for basketball.

We also have a small hospital It is called I.K.A. (Institute of Public Insurance).

There are three factories, one that makes wine, one that makes glasses and mirrors and one that makes fireplaces.

The weather is usually sunny with some clouds.

I like my town a lot and I don’t want to live in another town.
