Kielce – the capital of our region

Posted on: January 10, 2009

David from Class 3a found the following information about our city. Kielce is a city in central Poland with 202,609 inhabitants (2006). It is also the capital city of the Holy Cross Voivodeship since 1999. The city is located in the middle of the Holy Cross Mountains, at the banks of Silnica river. Once an important centre of limestone mining, Kielce is now a centre of trade and commerce.
